Filmmaker James Jaeger has produced a new documentary advocating for Biblically-inspired third party candidates. His film, “SPOILER — How a Third Political Party Could Win,” features interviews with 2008 Constitution Party presidential nominee Chuck Baldwin and 2000 Reform Party presidential nominee Pat Buchanan, as well as several theologians with ties to the Constitution Party and other third-party movements.
In a news story in the Christian Post, Jaeger states his goals for the film:
“Both entrenched parties have grown the government way beyond that envisioned by the framers, and worse, they have placed the State in competition with the Church as the ‘author of all charity’ and the ‘source of God-given, inalienable rights,’” Jaeger states.
“Not only that, multinational corporations have hijacked Congress leading to laws that have outsourced American industry, undermined the middle class and eroded the family unit,” he adds. “SPOiLER lays out a strategy whereby a new, or existing, third political party could defeat the DemoPublicans and reinstate Constitutional principles based on traditional Christian values.”
The article also includes quotes from the footage of Baldwin and Buchanan found in the film.
“SPOILER — How a Third Political Party Could Win” can be purchased on DVD from SpoilerUSA.org. Clips from the film can be seen on that site as well. Here is a trailer for the film. At the moment, there does not appear to be a plan to screen the documentary in American theaters (though it did receive a single showing in Pennsylvania in September).

Going by the list of experts provided at the link, there is only one theologian. The other folks are pretty much standard-issue Birchers., for better or for worse.
There was an extended trailer released six months ago; I saw at least two theologians on there, I thought.
That could be; I can’t watch the trailer from this computer. I wasn’t making a criticism of the original post – just an observation.
Sure thing. It’s interesting to see a film like this come out on the right, which has lately been the weakest of the three main third parties.
Oh those quiet, quiet sneakie Birchers ……….
glad the non establishment types get a nod. I hate em both, but they are not Dems or GOP ………… well Patrick, the stong box thief ………..

Why isn’t there any reporting of the CP local election victories in Utah and North Carolina this year?
David Waddell, a full and active member of the Constitution Party of North Carolina, was elected to to the Indian Trail, North Carolina Town Council in yesterday’s This was non-partisan race, but he was endorsed by the Constitution Party of North Carolina. We join Al Pisano, state chairman of the Constitution Party of North Carolina in conveying hearty congratulations to David Waddell! For the Constitution Party of North Carolina this is great step forward.
On November 8, Duchesne, Utah, held non-partisan elections for city council. Among the three winners was Bryce Hamilton, who is the chair of the Constitution Party Duchesne County organization. Duchesne is in northeast Utah and has a population of 1,610. Thanks to Frank Fluckiger for this news.
Newsletter from the campaign of Cynthia Davis for Missouri LT. Governor.
November 10, 2011
Dear Fellow Supporters,
I write you with some great news today. The Constitution Party just scored another victory with the announcement that Steve Tilley will not be running for Lieutenant Governor. This is a sign that the Republican Party realized that he was going to be in a very difficult fight for this office. His voting record shows that Steve was a left-leaning moderate in the Republican Party. It is likely that his campaign observed that I am traveling all over the state and gathering support. I have been able to get into places where he was having trouble and speaking to the hearts of Missourians about the issues that really matter to us.
Instead of facing a tough three way election in November, Steve made the right choice to bow out and spend his time attempting to get his family back together. I wish him well and hope he can find a way to restore his marriage. As the Executive Director for The Center for Marriage Policy, I applaud Steve Tilley for his decision.
There will be other Republicans who come forth to offer themselves for this position, but take heart because we have the upper hand. During these next 11 months there will be many twists and turns, but I am confident that we are on the path to victory and we have a great and mighty God who is blessing our campaign. Thank you for your willingness to share in our efforts to raise money and volunteers. We have been working for over three months to build our organization. Any candidate the Republicans try to put forth now will be at a disadvantage because of the extra time we have spent developing our grassroots infrastructure. Please continue to open more doors for me because it is making a great difference. This campaign is going further and wider than ever before. Last week I did five radio interviews in two days and was on another radio station this morning offering my comments on Steve’s withdrawl.
As I have been traveling the state and gaining inroads into areas where the left leaning Republicans are uninvited, I can say first hand that the voters are longing for a candidate that reflects our conservative values—the values that made Missouri great. It is my honor to continue to push our pro-family agenda and to give Missourians hope for a Lieutenant Governor who reflects the integrity we all want from our elected officials.
More good news: On Tuesday the voters in St. Louis County voted in a special election to send an Independent candidate to the Missouri House of Representatives! This is a remarkable victory for us because it shows the rest of the state that the voters are capable of picking “None of the Above”. Typically, the Independent gets blamed for being the spoiler for the “R” or “D”, but in this case the “I” cost both parties. In November 2012, the news will be that the “C” cost both the “R” and the “D”. This special election proved that this is possible!
Finally, I want to thank all of you for your help, donations and prayers for our campaign. It is paying off. We have a very aggressive week planned next week of another whirlwind tour around the state and I hope to meet all of you in the course of the next few months. If you want to get on our calender for a Chuck Wagon Chili event, an Irish Coffee or any other kind of event, please contact Donna who is organizing our calendar at DonnaIvanovich@yahoo.com. We are trying to cluster events in geographic areas together so that we can run the most efficient campaign possible. If you want to see what dates are available, you can look at my calendar at http://www.votecynthia.com Don’t forget to sign your friends up for our e-newsletter on our website. These next 11 months will go by quickly!

Cody, can’t you post at IPR yourself? Why not post the stories yourself as front page posts?
I am not a poster for IPR, haven’t been for a long time.
Ah, okay.
Well, the answer is, at least on my end: I looked for information on Constitution Party candidates, but didn’t find any. Where are good places to find it? I’ve had trouble locating it through Google News because “constitution” and “party” often occur together even when the article isn’t talking about the CP.
#14 – Jeremy, here are some places:
