I have a tip for Libertarian recruitment around the country. DC had about 20 Ron Paul delegates and alternates to the GOP convention in 2012. So far in DC we have one delegate and one alternate running for office as Libertarians. So I put the rest of them on our initial mailing about our slate of DC Libertarian candidates. One has already called me up and said he wants to help, he is done with the GOP. So so far over 10% of these RP delegates have switched.
Well the Republican Party is even more “advanced” than Lebanon by that standard.
oh…. the story I tell is that I used to share an office with a Character who is Palestinian but from Lebanon.
In the middle of December 2000 I walked into our office and this guy laughed at me….
He said ” you Americans think your democracy is so advanced and yet here it is a month after the election and you still don’t know who won….
In Lebanon we know who won the week before the election”
Sometimes more than once 🙂
Useful message: In our national conventions, the votes are actually counted before the outcome is decided.
