Jackson Sun: Mark Rawles Nominated by Constitution Party to Run for 8th District Seat

Mark J. Rawles of Jackson has been nominated by the Constitution Party of Tennessee to run for the Eighth District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

This is Rawles’ third run for Congress. He previously ran as an independent.

Rawles said he is running under the banner of the Constitution Party because he and the party have shared beliefs and ideals.

“A national crisis exists because the people have lost trust and confidence in our national leaders,” Rawles said. “Along with the president’s low approval rating, 76 percent of the American people believe the entire U.S. Congress needs to be replaced.

“This belief exists because the people recognize that national leaders, from both political camps, have twisted and/or ignored our Constitution to accomplish their party’s and/or personal agenda,” he said.
