Pacific Green Party of Oregon Elects New Steering Committee Members at 2025 Winter Convention

The Pacific Green Party of Oregon has elected four new members to its State Coordinating Committee following its remote 2025 Winter Convention last month. Several vacancies existed on the committee prior to the convention.

The party first announced its Winter Convention last June, with voting eligibility open to all members who registered with the party by late December and either made a proportionate financial contribution within the past year or completed verified volunteer work. The party also accommodated non-voting auxiliary members—those not yet old enough to vote or undocumented Oregon residents who cannot otherwise be listed by the Secretary of State.

According to a statement from the party, 32 members returned ballots for the State Coordinating Committee elections, selecting Ken Adams, James Dashiell, Josiah Dean, and Teddy Holt. While the party did not provide specific vote totals, it noted that Dashiell received the most votes, and two members voted for “None of the Above.” The party had previously stated that voting would be conducted using the Single Transferable Vote method.

The four will join existing members Greg Bourget, Mary Geddry, and Amy Sacks, who each have one year remaining in their terms. Voting members also named Connor Salisbury to the State Coordinating Committee Reserve. Additionally, the party stated that, as of the beginning of the year, it has 8,118 registered voters in the state.

The Pacific Green Party of Oregon previously stated that members would also elect three delegates to represent the party at the next national meeting of the Green Party of the United States. While the results were not included in its statement, the party’s website has been updated to reflect that Josiah Dean is now a national delegate alongside three previously listed members.

The party announced that its Summer Convention is scheduled for late July, though an exact date has not yet been set. Members also expressed a preference for the 2026 Winter Convention to take place on either January 17 or January 24.

“Being in a zoom (or whatever) all at the same time requires people to coordinate their schedules”

Not to mention giving the chicoms control over the convention. Remember how previous Zoom conferences mysteriously had speakers critical of the CCP disconnect or unable to connect or losing their sound or their feed… Not that the watermelons likely care about that though, since they are all either already controlled by the chicoms or hoping to get so.

Oregon libertarians vote by mail in a “primary” they pay for themselves (at least as of the last time I paid attention to how they do it a few years ago). Being in a zoom (or whatever) all at the same time requires people to coordinate their schedules, regardless of whatever all else they might be doing, so it may draw less response. Also, if there’s not a faction fight or something, fewer people are motivated to tune in.

They could only get 32 people to vote in their election? That’s even worse than Libertarians, which is surprising considering how far left Oregon is politically.
