Was a fierce Independent because of statements made in George Washington's farewell address about how the party system would damage the nation. (He was right). Became interested in the Libertarian party because of Ron Paul. I helped get Mike Gravel into the LP, and joined the party with him. And contrary to what people have said, we are not going anywhere. We are in the Libertarian party from now on. Get used to it.

Boston Tea Party restarts the poll in its election for secretary of the national committee

After a good deal of controversy, the Boston Tea Party’s national committee finally voted to restart it’s poll in the election for the national committee’s Secretary.

In the running was Todd Andrew Barnett, and “None of the above”.

Location announced for upcoming third party VP debate

Christina M. Tobin, President of Free and Equal Elections, announced this afternoon that a vice-presidential debate will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada this Sunday November 2, 2008.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Alumni Association has agreed to host the debate at the Marietta Tiberti Grand Hall, located at 4505 Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas.… Read more ...

Free and Equal debate picked up on C-SPAN for Live coverage

Another development in the story about the Free and Equal debate, C-SPAN has agreed to air the debate live. In addition it will still be available for live coverage and commentary on http://www.rtrradio.com. At this time only Independant Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate are confirmed. Whether or not this development will attract the participation of Libertarian Party candidate Bob Barr or Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney remains to be seen.… Read more ...

A Presidential Debate will be held TOMORROW OCTOBER 23RD, 2008 in Washington, DC. Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin and Independent candidate Ralph Nader are confirmed to attend. All six candidates with the possibility of attaining 270 electoral votes are invited to participate.
