Rockwell: Is the Libertarian Party Pro-War?

From an article on LewRockwell.com on April 10, 2011 by Lew Rockwell:

Murray Rothbard, who had opposed a libertarian political party, threw himself into the struggle when it was founded as a pro-war organization. Eventually, he succeeded in having the LP adopt the greatest platform on war and almost all other issues ever written.

Libertarian Blue: ‘Libertarians are Right Wing?’

Libertarian Blue:

One of the advantages or disadvantages (depending on how you look at it) to being a libertarian is that liberals and conservatives accuse of us of being the other.

Daily Dish blogger Andrew Sullivan had nominated Lew Rockwell of all people for the Michelle Malkin award. Now what in anyone’s political mind who actually pays attention and not just repeats sound bites would think Lew Rockwell and Michelle Malkin are the same stripe?… Read more ...

Libertarian John Jay Myers: ‘The Forest, the Trees, and the TSA’

Originally posted on LewRockwell.com, by John Jay Myers:

With all the naked viewing and groping going on, I wonder if this is the United States of America or the back room of an adult video store. We have two major problems here, the TSA and their intrusive unconstitutional invasions of our rights, and the bigger question of why are we turning into a police state.… Read more ...

Libertarian Wrestler Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs On Not Sending ‘Fascist Thug’ Sheriff Arpaio a Donation

Via LRC blog

Writes Glenn Jacobs:

I received a solicitation for a donation to Joe Arpaio’s campaign today. The letter chronicled Arpaio’s battles with illegal immigrants, Mexican drug cartels, and “open-border” leftists. I find it alarming that a local politician is utilizing illegal immigration as a national fund-raising platform (especially a fascist thug like Arpaio).

Libertarian Party founder David Nolan: ‘What happened to the Libertarian Party’

Podcast from LewRockwell.com

Little Alex in Wonderland provides the following summary:

He points out the fact that if the LP is going to be nothing more than what the Republican Party should be, there’s no use for it — as it can’t get past unelectability.

Third Parties make statements when they take from the despots — radical statements that draw voters from the Corporate War Party.

Lew Rockwell praises Nader, McKinney, Baldwin

Lew Rockwell says unity among the Green and Constitution parties — in a libertarian direction under Ron Paul — makes sense. The LP, of course, has chosen to sit out the left-right libertarian alliance.

“Let’s not forget that Nader and McKinney are right on far more issues than McCain and Obama, even if all four are very wrong on economics.… Read more ...

Photos from the Rally for the Republic

IPR was on the scene at this past Tuesday’s Rally for the Republic, keeping tabs on third party activity as Libertarians, Constitutionalists and Ron Paul Republicans collided just 10 miles from the scene of a more subdued major party political gathering. The following photos survived stadium mood-lighting and a camera that was not as good as advertised to give you a feel for the eclecticism of the Campaign for Liberty‘s official kickoff celebration:

Libertarian Presidential Nominee Bob Barr arrived early to muster up support among the throngs of ticket holders lined up to enter the Target Center before the start of the program.… Read more ...

Rockwell won’t accept ‘very kind offer’ to be listed as Ron Paul’s running mate in Louisiana

Rockwell does say he loves the idea of having Paul on the ballot, though.… Read more ...
