(The following was posted on the United We Stand Festival website.)
LOS ANGELES, CA — Christina Tobin, founder and chair of the Free & Equal Elections Foundation, has issued the following statement about UCLA canceling the hosting of the United We Stand Festival at their Pauley Pavilion this Saturday, May 10th.“The United We Stand Festival is moving venues. We appreciate your continued support, and we will be in contact as more information becomes available. For those who have already purchased tickets, thank you so much. Your desire to be at this festival means the world to Free & Equal. If you have already bought your tickets, please send Free and Equal a Facebook message, as we intend to put on the United We Stand Festival free of charge to attend for all our attendees. We would like to thank all of you for your generous support of this special festival that brings together music and education.”
The Woodstock location withdrew a few days before the event and had to be relocated to a farm (outside of Woodstock). Keep up your spirits, Free & Equal intends for this event to have similar historic implications towards the goal of world peace.

Please fix the headline and then make it public again, and please do not post headlines in ALL CAPS again.
I’ve temporarily made the post private (so only IPR writers can see it).

Deran, the only excuse I read was that it was a “contractual” thing, so who knows? I’ve planned my whole weekend around this thing, so I’ll keep everyone updated.
To those who have gotten notifications from Ticketmaster about the cancellation of the event, be assured that the event is not cancelled and will still be on May 10th. There will be an announcement about the festival’s relocation tomorrow. Anyone who has a ticket and has not been refunded yet will get first access to best seating, and the rest will be free for the public. If you got tickets through Ticketmaster, they will refund your money automatically. You may still attend the event for free. Keep up to date at http://www.UnitedWeStandFest.com

I can not find any news reports on why UCLA allegedly canceled this event? Or any clarification on why the venue is being changed again?
Hopefully they will be able to pull it off in new location *smh*
Please don’t post headlines in ALL CAPS and please fix this one in that regard.
This event has changed dates and venues so many times that it is getting to the point of being ridiculous. Remember it was originally supposed to happen in Little Rock, Arkansas a while back.
I’ve been waiting to find out where the new venue will be. I’ve been told by my contact that Christina is certain they’ll find a new place, and I’ll let you all know as soon as I know where.
Kiddies, can you say “unmitigated disaster”?
Does Free & Equal actually do anything but piss away other people’s money?
