Presidential candidates petition for Alabama ballot

The AP has released a brief article about the various third-party presidential candidates trying to get on the ballot in Alabama.

Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain likely won’t be the only presidential candidates listed on Alabama’s Nov.

First presidential poll including McKinney

Angus Reid Global Monitor has released the results of the first general election polling to include Cynthia McKinney as the Green Party nominee. The poll, conducted from July 27th to 29th, projects 46% for Obama, 42% for McCain, 6% for Nader, 3% for Barr, and 1% for McKinney – presuming each of the five candidates appears on the respondent’s state ballot.…

Sheehan needs 2,116 more signatures, moneybomb on August 6th

From a note published today on her official Facebook profile comes an update on independent House candidate Cindy Sheehan‘s efforts to make the ballot:

Subsequent to the Department of Election challenging an UNBELIEVABLE 43.5 PERCENT of our signatures, our CINDY FOR CONGRESS ’08 campaign still needs 2116 more valid signatures to get CINDY SHEEHAN on the San Francisco ballot to run against failed Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.
