I’m just curious, how is “Americans Elect” going to keep folks from hijacking the ballot access at the State Level?
I mean, for example, if they were able to get on the ballot in Michigan, I know for a fact that it wouldn’t be real difficult for a local “caucus” to form and nominate local candidates.
I know that at least in some states the party chair has to sign off on any candidates.
Doesn’t work that way here. Sure, for statewide candidates, but in Michigan, local “caucuses” sign off on paperwork. It can be anyone really. My wife was the head of our local caucus in 2010, basically on paper only.
