IPR turns 8 years old

IPR was launched exactly 8 years ago, on May 20th, 2008. From the 7th year anniversary article:

After a 36-hour period of nonstop work by Jason “GE” Seagraves, IPR went live six years ago today with our first post, on May 20, 2008. Our predecessor site, Third Party Watch, operated between May 2005 and May 2008 before being purchased by Richard Viguerie right before the Libertarian presidential nomination in 2008, which led to the creation of IPR and Green Party Watch.

IPR progress report: over 40,000 reader comments; new writers wanted

Yesterday, IPR passed 40,000 comments on nearly 3,000 posts since May 2008.

IPR still averages over a thousand unique visitors a day, and was up around three thousand back in November. The average visitor generates about three page views. We’ve had over 500,000 visitors and over 1.5 million page views.

IPR traffic report: beating the competition

We are currently at over 340,000 visits and over 907,000 page views since the site debuted on May 20, 2008. If we can avoid too steep of a post-election drop, a million page views by the six month mark (Nov. 20) is doable. So far this month we are at over 77,000 page views, with over 200,000 per month for the two previous months.… Read more ...
