TOWNE NOT GUILTY: Northampton County Judge Craig Dally has found Libertarian Jake Towne not guilty, ending a multi-year saga. It had been alleged that Towne signed nominating petitions to confirm he had collected petition signatures when in fact the signatures were either forged or collected by someone else.

Former LP Presidential Hopeful John McAfee Indicted on Cryptocurrency Fraud Charges

Federal prosecutors have indicted former antivirus entrepreneur John McAfee and his associate for orchestrating what they call a fraudulent scheme designed to rake in millions of dollars from cryptocurrency investors.

McAfee and his “cryptocurrency team” advisor Jimmy Watson are accused of having operated an “age-old pump-and-dump scheme” using McAfee’s Twitter account to promote “various cryptocurrencies through false and misleading statements to conceal their true, self-interested motives.”… Read more ...

New Chairman Elected For Libertarian National Committee

A new chairman has been elected to the Libertarian National Committee at the 2020 National Convention.

Joseph Bishop-Henchman, who served as an at-large member of the LNC from 2018-2020 was elected on the second ballot for the chairman election. Bishop-Henchman received 43.81% of the vote in the first round with Joshua Smith, also an at-large member from 2018-2020, coming in second with 33.71% of the vote.… Read more ...
